Ensure undertook full remediation of a garage rooftop including demolition of 3 planter boxes, one layer of tiles and bedding and failed membrane systems. The team prepared the concrete slab substrate and enhanced existing falls to new drainage outlets. Additionally, we supplied and installed a new Fatrafol 807V PVC Sheet Membrane System which included membrane upturned to brick cavity level and new cavity flashings connected to the floor membrane system via hot air fusion welding. After completion of the primary membrane system, we installed a new tiling bed, Class III over screed membrane system and re-tiled the associated areas. The works also included replacement of the existing non-compliant balustrade to meet NCC/AS compliance, minor render repairs to external walls, new elastomeric membrane paint applied to external walls, re-installation of disconnected building services and installation of anodised aluminium fascia capping’s.
All residents remained in place throughout the remedial building works and were managed carefully by the Ensure project team to make sure all residents were always communicated with.
