Mann Street – Emergency Façade Remediation Gosford, NSW

At Mann Street, Ensure Waterproofing & Remedial Building were engaged by the Owners Corporation to carry out urgent make-safe works to the western-facing façade. Following reports of sandstone-look ceramic tiles becoming dislodged and falling onto the adjoining public footpath and roadway, immediate remediation was required to eliminate safety risks to pedestrians and vehicles.

Our works involved:

Rope-access removal of all loose or compromised façade tiles, trims, and mouldings, followed by safe disposal of debris.
Additional roof anchor points were installed to facilitate safe access.
Localised repairs were made to waterproofing membranes impacted by anchor installations.
The scope also included a full clean-down of lower roof areas, awnings, and gutters to remove residual debris.

By removing all defective cladding within the affected zone and reinstating safety, we ensured the site was made safe for both building occupants and the public, with the exclusion zones lifted upon completion. These works formed a critical first step ahead of the longer-term façade remediation strategy.
