Ensure undertook full remediation of several medium sized concrete balconies and large rooftops including demolition of one layer of tiles and bedding and failed membrane systems. The team prepared the concrete slab substrate and enhanced existing falls to new drainage outlets which were core holed on site. Additionally, we supplied and installed a new Fatrafol 807V PVC Sheet Membrane System which included membrane upturned to brick cavity level and new cavity flashings connected to the floor membrane system via hot air fusion welding. After completion of the primary membrane system, we installed a new engineered tiling bed to falls, Class III over screed membrane system and re-tiling of the associated areas. The works also included removal of existing aluminium sliding doors, installation of new welded sub-sill tray and re-installation of existing doors, modification of the existing non-compliant balustrade to meet NCC/AS compliance, major render repairs to external façade walls, preparation and painting of new elastomeric membrane paint applied to external façade walls, re-installation of disconnected building services and making good of architectural finishes following waterproofing works.
All residents remained in place throughout the remedial building works and were managed carefully by the Ensure project team to make sure all residents were always communicated with.
